12th September 2021 saw the return of The Great North Run half marathon. Not only did the pandemic delay the 40th celebrations in 2020, the route in 2021 was an out and back rather than the iconic finish in South Shields.

2 club members participated , Debbie Brown-Secret and Caroline Peek who both raised money for their respective charities, Blood cancer UK and The Stoke Assocation.

Caroline completed the course in a time of 2 hours 8 mins and Debbie just 1 min later in 2 hours 9 mins.
