Club Championship
HOW IT WORKS
Adjustment Factors

Age grading can adjust an athlete’s performance according to their age and gender. The age grading tables were first developed by World Masters Athletics in 1989 and most recently updated in 2015.

Adjusted Time Example

The runner’s actual time is multiplied by their adjustment factor to give their adjusted time. Here are some examples for a 10k race:

Male Age 45 Actual Time 45:25 Factor 0.9332 Adjusted Time 45:25 x 0.9332 = 42:23
Female Age 45 Actual Time 45:25 Factor 0.9192 Adjusted Time 45:25 x 0.9192 = 41:45
Female Age 55 Actual Time 45:25 Factor 0.8381 Adjusted Time 45:25 x 0.8381 = 38:04
Points

50 points will be awarded to the fastest adjusted time, 49 to second, 48 to third, and so on.

Events

For qualifying races please refer to the Featured post on the members Facebook page and the Club Championship email which will be sent once races are set.

These races are not special or different from any other races you do. Just enter them as normal and the club championship results will be calculated from the official race timings.

Your best 7 results will count towards your total points.

Usual race rules apply, an LRR Race T-shirt/vest must be worn for all races.

Finally, only races completed after members have joined the club or renewed their membership will count towards the Championship. Please note, you will need to ensure the race entry is registered as affiliated to Lowestoft Road Runners to be included. We do not check individual names, but rather entrants under Lowestoft Road Runners.
