Meet The Team

Caroline Peek - Chairman

I started running in 2017, joined the club in 2018 and have had several terms as a committee member. I run all distances but love the challenge of long distance running , longest to date being 100k ultra in June 2023.

Rachel Gregory - Treasurer & Membership Secretary/Lead Welfare Officer

I have been a member of LRR since 2020. Having raced track when I was younger and not liked the pressure, I now run for enjoyment and the social side. I really like being a member of the club as everyone is very friendly and supportive and I love being able to support and cheer on other members too, whether at events or club training sessions. I also love going for long social runs with other club members as well as summer pub runs where you have a chance to have more of a chat with other runners.

Manuel Nicolaus - Club Secretary & Welfare Officer

Manuel joined the LRR in 2019. He is an all distance runner. He enjoys a 100m sprint as much as a 250mile ultramarathon. Within the LRR he coordinates the members’ race results. So when you have just completed a race, let Manuel know, where and when it was, how long it was and your race time (full race reports also appreciated). He will then add this to the LRR race database.

Marie Ayers - Coach

I joined LRR in 2016 to improve my running. Being a member of the club gave me the confidence to run two marathons which I never thought I would be able to run. In 2018 I became a coach and love seeing members improve and achieving their running goals.

Neil Bye - Committee

Joined LRR in 2014 as a beginner runner. By 2016 he had run this first marathon and soon after started to take part in triathlons.

Chris Woodcock - Committee

Joined Lowestoft road runners in 2018, a year after trying park run for the first time. I enjoy being part of a club, who help and encourage runners to achieve their best. I have achieved many PB’s since joining the club, and aim to help others whilst continuing to improve myself.

Katy Oldman - Female Club Captain & Coach

I have been a member of the Lowestoft Road Runners for 8 years, joining after running the Lowestoft Half Marathon and reading a flyer promoting the club. I joined the club because I needed some inspiration and encouragement, as running alone had become stagnant. Not only did my running improve, so did my social life. I've made some amazing friends that I look forward to seeing in and outside of club. I'm looking forward to many more years of running with my friends and with our very special organisation.

Liam Mullen - Coach

I have been a member of LRR since 2018 after I competed the Lowestoft Half Marathon, with the help of training provided by the club in preparation for the race. In 2021 I was asked to be a coach and I haven’t looked back since. Being a coach enables me to give back the skills learnt from the other coaches, and help where possible with club members to improve their running ability. Outside of club I an in charge of a local Cub Scout section, enjoy most sports mainly Rugby and you’ll catch me at Parkrun every Saturday, although I’m normally on time keeping duties .

Caroline Parnis - Coach

Hi, I’m Caroline! I’ve been with LLR for about five years and have been part of the coaching team for the last two. I became a coach to ensure everyone feels welcome at our sessions, especially those who, like me, run at a slower pace. I understand that people run for many different reasons, not just to be the fastest. We’re a fantastic club, and I hope you’ll join us for some great runs!

Johnathan Lincoln - Coach
I started running track and xc at school, running at county level for both club and school. Roll forward a 'few' years to 2020 and I rejoined to help improve my running in triathlons. Recently I became a coach and I really enjoy helping people achieve their running goals be it for health/fitness reasons or race goals

Suzy Grant - Coach
I began running again in 2016 with Lowestoft Ogogo with a friend to help improve our fitness. When Ogogo finished I was encouraged by another running friend to join LRR, as they had done, with the aim of completing our first half marathon together. So I joined in 2017 and we completed the Lowestoft Half Marathon in the October. Moving forward to 2018 I decided that I would like to become a coach, so that I could help and support others within the club as I had been from when I joined.

David Graham - Committee & Coach
I started running for the first time since school days in 2017, when I took part in a c25k program hosted by the Lowestoft Road Runners. My running took off, I went from being unable to run 100 metres to running a 5K, building from that to my greatest running achievement Race to the Stones 100k Ultra that I completed in 2022. I became a coach in 2018 as I enjoyed helping others begin their running journeys and I hope to be a running coach for many more years to come.

John Jervis - Committee & Male Club Captain
I started running in 2001 - my first race was the 2002 London Marathon - and I've been running on and off since then. (It has increasingly become a case of more on than off in recent years!) I joined Lowestoft Road Runners in 2016; I love how friendly and supportive the club is, and being a member of the club has turned my running into a much more sociable activity. As well as road running, I enjoy the local cross country league, which is a great way to keep running interesting through the winter. I also occasionally juggle whilst running - a niche sport that is known as 'joggling'.

Tom Galley - Coach

I joined the club in 2016 and became a coach in 2018. Additionally have had two separate stints on the committee. I enjoy sharing my training sessions with the club as a coach and helping runners push their limits and get the most out of each session.

Adam Brown - Committee

I have been with LLR for about two years now. I started running in 2019 and have completed events from 5k to marathon distance. I love running and can't go a week without it unless I have to, lol. I enjoy meeting for club sessions and social events. I also do like the healthy competition with the club championship between members.

Stuart Dewell - Committee

I have always enjoyed running. Even at primary school I would run everywhere; walking was a waste of time for me. After I left school, I would enter races, usually 10k or half marathons for fun. In my twenties I got into squash and have played competitively in the County Leagues ever since. Running was not only fun but also a way to be in top shape for the squash. In 2018 my old squash club closed, and a few personal things changed so I decided to shake things up a bit. I joined Lowestoft Road Runners, and I have to say it has been great. Everyone is really supportive, and I have made many new friends.

Rachel Plant - Coach

I joined the club in 2018 when training for my first marathon and wanted to meet other runners. After joining the club my running improved massively and because of the friends I’ve made and support from other members, I have gone on to complete a wide variety of events . I’ve run ultra marathons, found a love for long distance trail running, cross country season and triathlon . And I’m very proud of completing my first full distance triathlon at Outlaw Nottingham in July 2025.
I joined the coaching team in 2025 hoping to give back and support other runners with the skills and experience I've learned along the way.

Claire Hatton - Coach

Decided to join LRR in 2024 to see how a running club could work for me. It has worked amazingly! Lots of lovely new friends, as well as my own running having improved since joining. I have been able to achieve far more than I had previously believed that I could. This is thanks to great LRR club morale and consistent encouragement for all its members. Since joining, I have always felt fully supported. I look forward to club each week and fully enjoying being part of team LRR.
Very recently I have become a coach, and feel very blessed to have the opportunity to support and encourage others with their running journeys.
