London Marathon

Sunday 2nd October saw 15 club members participate in the London TCS marathon - 12 ran in London , 3 ran the virtual marathon locally.

Many of the runners raised money for their various charities and their accumulated sums exceed £15000! Amazing !

First to finish from the mass start in London was Simon Cook with a new PB of 2:54:37. Next was Karen Archbold finishing her 27th
marathon in 3:38:37, closely followed by Katy Oldman in 3:39:51.
Next home was Jo Bisset-Smith in 4:11:16, Leila Bye with a 5 min PB
in 4:22:29, Mark Smith in 4:23:50, Karen Evans , her first marathon in 4:28:08, Steph Strowger , her first marathon in 5:00:35, Jason Bodmer in 5:09:32, Becky Palmer, her first marathon in 5:13:23, James Clarke in 5:19:00, Susan Chapman in 5:50:38 and Emma Garrod, finisher.

The virtual event saw Lisa Riley finish in 3:58:21, and Susan Perry in 4:42:58. Philip Brand did his virtual whilst on holiday in Corfu doing 2.7m loops, pausing for breakfast, finishing in an active time of 4:54:52 (Elapsed time 6:50:41).
